Job Summary
Reporting to the Content Manager, the Finance Content Writer will write a compelling long-form blog, newsletter and outreach articles on finance, tax, money-saving advice and related subjects for our e-commerce company formation customers, as well as for new legal and accountancy websites (coming in the second half of 2024) and outreach content to be published on partner blogs.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate, with the ability to turn complex topics into accessible and engaging copy which speaks to our target audiences. You will have significant experience of writing on financial matters for both laypersons and qualified professionals. You will be accomplished at conducting robust research from authoritative sources, and will be happy to work to deadlines to meet the Group’s ambitious digital marketing objectives.
A good understanding of SEO best practice in writing content is desirable for this role.
Responsibilities
Write well-researched high-quality articles for use on our blogs, newsletters or as outreach content, on finance, tax and other related subjects, with the aim of keeping small business owners well-informed and to rank highly for relevant informational keywords on Google.
Work with a team of content writers and other creatives under the management of the Content Manager, to create impactful and on-trend content for the small business community.
Help with conceptual work when required, including article ideas, campaign ideas, topic ideas, etc.
Work to deadlines, to assist the Group in meeting its ambitious digital marketing objectives.
Ensure SEO best practices are followed.
Quickly develop specialist knowledge of our industry via our in-house learning materials.
Required
Proven content writing experience producing high-quality content in a finance and tax-related industry
Minimum 5 years’ content writing experience
Ambitious, with a willingness to work to strict deadlines
Impeccable written English language skills, with the ability to write in different styles where required
Experience of using WordPress is desirable
Understanding of SEO best practices is desirable
Collaborative spirit
Bachelor’s degree (finance or literature qualification preferred)
