Account Manager - Financial Services - Edelman Smithfield

Edelman Smithfield is Edelman UK’s financial communications & capital markets practice. We provide corporate communications support to a wide range of blue-chip financial services firms, and have expertise in asset management, pensions, professional services, insurance and consumer finance, devising highly creative media engagement platforms that differentiate our clients from their peers. We advise public and private companies on strategic and capital markets communications to position them within the financial community during normal-course business and transformative events (M&A, IPOs, Spinoffs, Bankruptcy, Investor Relations etc). We are looking for an Account Manager to join our growing financial services team. This role requires a candidate with financial services communications experience, excellent media relations experience, the ability to develop engaging stories for media, and to provide informed counsel to clients on often complex issues. You will ideally have some experience, coaching junior team members. Managing teams and workload is vital, as well as the ability to project manage campaigns and oversee the quality of work produced.
