Creative Writer - OTT Platform

As a Creative Writer within the Original Content Department of our OTT platform, you will be a vital contributor to the storytelling process, creating compelling narratives that resonate with our diverse global audience. Your role will involve crafting engaging scripts, narratives, and content that align with our editorial standards and elevate the impact of our original projects.

Responsibilities:

Write and develop scripts for original content, including documentaries, series, and special projects.
Collaborate with producers, directors, and other creatives to ensure a coherent and impactful narrative structure.
Develop engaging narratives that bring out the core messages and stories of original content projects.
Work closely with production teams to integrate narrative elements seamlessly.
Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information for content development.
Verify facts, interview subjects, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of content.
Collaborate with graphic designers, animators, and other visual teams to ensure a harmonious integration of visuals with written content.
Provide creative input to enhance the overall storytelling experience.
Explore innovative storytelling techniques to make content more engaging and impactful.
Stay abreast of industry trends and narrative innovations.
Contribute to the overall content planning process by proposing compelling story ideas and angles.
Work closely with producers and editorial teams to align writing with project objectives.
Ensure that all written content adheres to our editorial standards, journalistic integrity, and brand values.
Uphold accuracy, fairness, and balance in storytelling.
Collaborate with editors to revise and refine scripts, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to project requirements.
Participate in feedback sessions to improve and enhance content.
Collaborate with other departments, including UI/UX and marketing, to ensure the integration of written content across our OTT platform.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Creative Writer, preferably in a media or content creation setting.
Strong portfolio showcasing successful scriptwriting and creative writing projects.
Excellent storytelling and narrative development skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to evolving news and content requirements.
