Davidson are currently working with a state government client who are seeking an experienced Content Writer.
About the Role
This role will be supporting the delivery of high-quality communication materials and activities across a variety of digital and print platforms that meet the identified strategic direction and goals.
Writing, editing and proofing content for digital and print media including, web and intranet pages, social media, content plans, blogs and newsletters, speeches, detailed government documents and reporting, and broader marketing campaigns.
Apply knowledge of contemporary traditional, digital, and social media communication practices and contribute ideas and solutions to the communication issues and needs of a complex organisation.
Ability to utilise available data and analytics tools to inform, monitor and evaluate the performance of online resources and provide recommendations for improvement to support and achieve the desired goal.
Assist in the planning and development of communication plans to suit internal and external audiences.
Work with business units and subject matter experts within the department to research, prepare and develop appropriate content.
Follow project schedules and timeframes and actively manage workloads to deliver content which meets the specific goals.
Be able to remain calm and creative under pressure, managing fast turnaround times while still delivering exceptional creative and content.
Role fit
Experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated strong communication skills both written and verbal.
A relevant tertiary qualification in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or equivalent is highly regarded.
Experience working in a complex and fast paced Government Department or relevant Statutory body would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
Demonstrated digital experience highly regarded.
