Freelance Producer (Part-Time)

Apartment Therapy Media (ATM) is seeking a Part-time Freelance Producer to join its team. The Freelance Producer will be responsible for producing content in the content management system, tracking and managing digital assets, and ensuring the overall content creation process runs smoothly and effectively across Apartment Therapy, The Kitchn, and Cubby. The ideal candidate will have a discerning eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. This position can be remote or based in our headquarters in SoHo, NYC.

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

Upload, tag, and credit photos in our photo management system
Read long- and short-lead content for grammar, style, consistency, and voice
Ensure post metadata is present and accurate before publication
Perform technical QA before publication (link affiliation, optimal formatting, etc.)
Build daily and weekly posts in Wordpress for all Apartment Therapy Media properties

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1-2 years work experience)
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Experience editing content for grammar, style, and clarity
Experience using Photoshop: resizing images, basic lighting/color correction, using PS layout/design templates, removing backgrounds of objects
Understanding of digital photo assets (pixels, dpi, crop ratios, kb + mb sizes)
Ability to balance multiple priorities, and adjust strategy and execution in the face of new information
Proven skills with content management systems and basic HTML
Ability to work well independently

Salary Range: $20-25 per hour
