The Role:
We are seeking an experienced communications associate to join our global communications team to focus on our AppLovin ad tech and AppLovin-owned Adjust businesses. This is an incredible opportunity to partner with an innovative and fun company that is a leader in the mobile app and connected TV industries. This position offers great potential for growth, as we are looking for a strong strategic communicator with a desire to own business-critical comms projects and programs, manage and build media relationships, and drive thought leadership in our industry.
The Global PR/Communications Associate position reports to the Director of PR/Communications and will support the comms strategies for AppLovin and Adjust, including: media relations, thought leadership, awards submissions, global agency coordination, and beyond.
Our ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, responsible and confident, and is ready to dive into and learn about the AppLovin and Adjust businesses. Additionally, this person possesses interest and tenacity in developing media relationships, pitching and placing earned stories, proactively developing angles for stories and bylines, and executing media relations and awards programs with experience in technology, marketing/adtech, and/or mobile apps industries. As a Communications Associate, this role requires you to be a strong writer and editor, a master at prioritization, with an ability to perform well under deadlines and work cross functionally.

Job Responsibilities:
Support Director of Global Communications on all inbound and outbound PR activities
Assist entire communications team in managing multiple global agencies, including managing agency calls, helping drive strategy, writing/copy-editing press releases and bylines, and developing briefings for monthly priorities and specific opportunities in each region/market
Own global news/trend-jacking strategy, playing a key role in the day-to-day activity of sourcing data, drafting/reviewing pitches and releases to secure media coverage, monitoring industry trends and competitive moves, working closely with our global agencies
Be a strong writer and serve as support for all written forms of communication. There are times you'll be asked to edit a blog post, create a byline abstract, write awards or speaking submissions, or draft social media copy for our media-related posts, etc.)
Manage the awards programs for the AppLovin and Adjust businesses
Proactively and consistently brainstorm and collaborate with the comms, content, product marketing, and social media teams for new ideas and strategies
Managing and regularly updating both AppLovin and Adjust press pages
Ensure global clippings sheets and weekly project/campaign updates are regularly updated
Your Profile:
5+ years of proven media relations and writing experience
Understanding of ad tech industry and/or mobile app industry
Demonstrated ability to create pitches and sell reporters on new story ideas (with or without corporate news)
Exceptional copywriting and editing skills
Tenacious self-starter with a high level of initiative and strong follow-through
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage dynamic/evolving media programs from start to finish
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Google Docs, Asana, Wordpress, and HubSpot
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities across global teams
Exhibits sense of curiosity and continually seeks new ways to learn and improve
Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field

Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, and other forms of incentive compensation (as applicable) may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to dental, vision, and other benefits.
