About The Role

This is a content-producing role accountable for overarching editorial success of Better Homes and Gardens digital. Reporting to the Digital Managing Editor, a key part of this role is ideating and producing a wide range of on-brand original content - from news and listicles to in-depth features - as well as content that drives affiliate and ecommerce revenue. When required, also reworking magazine content for an online audience.

The Content Producer is also responsible for the success of Better Homes and Gardens’ social assets and EDMs by executing strategy for these assets as set out by the Digital Managing Editor.

As required, this role needs to be able to conceptualise video and work collaboratively with the video team to ensure successful execution.

Duties

Daily news and long-lead feature content pitches specific to Better Homes and Gardens.
Optimising magazine content for a digital audience.
Creating clean, factually correct and highly engaging content about homes and gardens which result in traffic referrals, overall audience growth and engagement.
SEO research and reworks using tools and strategy provided.
Social media and email account management.

Skills And Experience

1-3 years’ writing experience, ideally on a website or equivalent.
Understanding of content management systems, photo and video editing and analytic tools.
Understanding and experience using social media platforms.
Genuine interest in food, interiors and gardening.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
Knowledge of SEO.
Relevant tertiary qualifications, or equivalent.
