Area Editor and/or Reporter

We are seeking an editor who not only can run a newsroom, has a nose for news and can keep up with weekly deadlines, but we are looking for someone who can lead and oversee multiple editorial teams, plan and prepare story budgets and isn’t afraid of getting their hands dirty by writing and covering events themselves.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and excel in writing news, feature and sports stories, along with editing and proofing copy and planning coverage for the week. The right candidate will also be capable of taking great photos.

Most of all, the ideal candidate will have a passion for telling stories that engage and educate readers.

Salary: Dependent on the person, experience and workload.
