The successful candidate will contribute to the Argus AgriMarkets - Organic service as part of a team of talented journalists and analysts in the US, as well as help coordinate the work of a global editorial team to deliver this service. Responsibilities will also include collaboration with Data and Production teams, business development, sales and marketing, consulting, conferences.
The reporter/analyst will build and engage with their network of contacts, generate content for the Organic service, drive market coverage, analyses, and datasets in the US organic grains and oilseeds markets. The reporter/analyst will support the development of the service, in collaboration with the US-based editor of Organic Agriculture and senior editorial managers and will help ensure that the Argus report and methodology are kept up to date and continually enhanced. The reporter/analyst will also provide cover on US conventional agriculture markets as required.
The reporter/analyst will ensure appropriate implementation of new processes and will closely collaborate with other corporate functions as needed.
What we’re looking for in you:
Drive, enthusiasm and an analytical mindset with very strong written and oral communication skills (phone, email, text, formal reports)
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite with experience in Excel
Desire to build personal-professional network of key industry contacts
Ability to engage in in-depth, one-on-one conversations with industry stakeholders
Excellent independent time-management, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
Experience of writing reports on technical, complex topics and ability to meet tight deadlines
An interest in agriculture (some knowledge of the industry is a plus)
