The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is hiring reporters! Are you experienced in covering government, down to fighting with officials for records? We could sure use you to help us keep tab on how tax dollars are spent. Or do you like to stretch your reporting and writing muscles and pursue stories that are unknown, peculiar, fascinating or just plain fun? Our readers know that stories about policy and politics are important, but they need something hopeful, something light on occasion. Do you want to help us reach a broader audience, especially online? We are always looking for those stories that draw in new readers who will be convinced to become subscribers. A candidate for this job should have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or relevant experience. We are interested in all levels of experience. We have a team-oriented atmosphere in the newsroom. While many reporters are on beats, it is common for reporters to work with editors or reporters in other areas.
