Job Description

ASOS STUDIOS Junior Copywriter

Junior Copywriters at ASOS are highly organised, efficient, team centric figures, who have an eye for fashion, photography and seamless operations. As one of our Junior Copywriters, you will be working closely with your team across all levels and be an active member of the Studios Team. You will contribute to department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively to deliver the best e-commerce assets in the industry for our 20 something customer. You have the ability to successfully be a part of a team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset.

What You’ll be Doing

Reporting directly into one of the Senior Copywriters, you will be contributing to the day-to-day output of the Copy team. This will primarily include product page enrichment of 1000+ products per day
Ensuring budget, cost per product, creative quality and volumetric KPIs are adhered to
Core responsibility of writing product page copy in a KPI driven team and department
Use of a Content Management System to upload copy and complete our daily copy workflow
Ability to write to a strict house style with an informal but technical tone
Responsible for writing detailed product descriptions (and cross-referencing relevant size & fit information) across the full range of ASOS product, ensuring information is accurate, informative and consistent across the site
Show exceptional multitasking ability with outstanding organisational skills; able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment, consistently prioritising workload
Contribute to creative work when required, including writing brand descriptions and category headers
The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong eye for detail and catching errors, expectation to self-sub your product descriptions
Possess commercial, brand and technical awareness, while keeping up to date with current copy and e-commerce content trends
Work in conjunction with the rest of the Studios teams to ensure all product launch dates are met
Assist with team admin tasks when required
Possess ability to drive and achieve personal and department objectives
Assist the Copy Team in constantly striving to improve quality and efficiency
Participate in team growth and development to meet the department strategy
Contribute to team meetings and attending departmental meetings when required
Strive to be an aspirational figure within your team
Show excellent problem-solving abilities and positive, dynamic response to change
Follow established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategy
Work with the Copy Team to support the induction of new junior full-timers and freelancers when required
Be authentic, brave, creative and disciplined ensuring you follow all company and departmental strategies, leading by example
Develop your communication and raise your profile at ASOS Studios with the support of your team, in line with ASOS Behaviours policy
Work closely with your team across all levels to successfully deliver the department strategy and objectives
Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio team
Demonstrate excellent brand awareness by working on areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition when instructed to ensure we are market leaders
Participate in new workflow solutions to streamline departmental practices and processes when required
Participate in departmental technology software and hardware launches when required
Participate in projects to support the department strategy and any other adhoc tasks defined by the Lead Copywriter and Post Production Manager

Qualifications
