Assistant Editor

Zambezi’s award-winning full-service production studio, FIN Studios, is seeking an Assistant Editor to join the team. FIN Studios creates compelling commercial and original content – and we operate in the mantra of ‘Taking Bigger Bites’ and stretching an idea beyond the expected. If you have a passion for the editorial process and like to keep things nice and tidy, this could be the place for you.

The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented, technically attuned and proactive individual. This person will work closely with the post team at FIN Studios to help prep and manage media, set up projects using Adobe Premiere, assist the editor with finding stock footage and music options, prep for finishing VFX, Color & Sound, and, finally, complete the project with delivery and archiving. From start to finish, you'll be supporting with various commercials, short videos, and branded content, and occasionally getting the opportunity to creatively bring sight and sound together to create some dynamic edits yourself.Candidate must be located in the greater Los Angeles area.

FIN operates in a hybrid manner and the role would be a mix of remote/in-office, so candidates must be able to work in-office depending on project needs.For this role, we are open to a freelance contract that may lead to a permanent position.
