Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Assistant Copywriter helps create engaging content that is distributed through
different platforms and channels. These channels may include print, video media,
digital, and social. The copywriter is responsible for producing and editing content that
maintains a clear and consistent brand tone and voice. They collaborate with the Head
Copywriter for content and quality control. Our ideal candidate informs and engages
target audiences through written content.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Write high-engaging social media content that reflects the tone and voice of The
WealthBuilders brand
● Produce error-free content that adheres to the company’s style guidelines
● Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
● Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to grow the
website audience and email list
● Write emails for all blogs and podcasts (3x week)
● Heavily contribute to internal email communication for events, product launches,
and create sideways sales (x2 week)
● Heavily contribute to external email communication for lead magnet product
funnels and onboarding sequences
● Provide digital marketing and SEO support through producing highly-converting
website copy
● Provide copy for socials, online materials, blogs, podcasts, and products
● Provide copy for emails and sideways sales, consistently considering new
strategies to expand the email list.
● Provide additional research to the Head Copywriter for book content creation.
● Assist in writing mini books and devotional.
● Assist in writing print materials for workshops, conferences, and other events.
● Assist the Head Copywriter with general copywriting needs
● Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, PR, or equivalent.
● 5+ years’ professional writing experience preferred.
● Ability to follow AP style guidelines is a plus.
● Works well under pressure.
● Strong attention to detail.
● Proofreading and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
● Experience in producing copy for digital and print content.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
● Ability to write high-converting website copy.
● Familiarity working with email newsletters and automation (Convertkit).
● Knowledge of Wordpress.
● Ability to produce concise written content.
● A solid understanding of SEO concepts and digital marketing.
● Content research and content editing.
● Ability to transcribe an audio or video file to create content in different formats.
● Experience with blog creation and promotion.
Hourly Pay: $25/hr
Hours: 20 hours per month
