Location: Remote - Canada & Europe
As our Associate Copywriter, you will be working closely with our brand and creative team and be responsible for writing and editing content assets across our entire marketing program. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with native-level English writing and copyediting skills, and will have experience with writing punchy, attention-grabbing copy for digital marketing campaigns. This is a position with a lot of opportunity for growth as you build your portfolio within the organization.
Experience in hospitality or hospitality technology is preferred, but not necessary if you can demonstrate the ability and desire to quickly learn and grasp complex topics in our industry — in essence, the winning candidate will be able to write like a subject matter expert, even if they are not currently one.
Essential Functions
Write concise, attention-grabbing copy for various types of marketing assets, including campaign content, advertising copy, landing pages, website copy, emails, case studies, video scripts, social media posts, and other sales collateral.
Adapt marketing copy to the company’s brand voice and maintain a consistent tone and style in our communications.
Assist brand/creative team in ideating, developing, and creating multimedia content assets, including videos, podcasts, case studies, infographics, landing pages, and other branded content.
Assist campaign and demand generation team in executing clear channel communications that deliver results (e.g. drive clicks, email opens, likes, etc.).
Assist product marketing team in crafting powerful value-based messaging for the sales team that resonates with our buyer personas.
Understand the platform technology and company value propositions clearly to be able to incorporate them into marketing copy.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and insights on travel, hospitality, and technology to inform the direction of content and provide supporting context to key messages and ideas.
Proofread and edit drafts of other marketing/sales materials and provide thoughtful feedback on how to improve the copy for marketing purposes.
Update and upload content to our website and owned comms channels as needed.
Secondary Functions
Report on content performance, communicating insights and actions.
Manage cross-functional relationships with other teams: Translators, Campaigns, Demand Generation, Content Marketing, and Product Marketing, among others.
Learn and experiment with generative AI writing tools to determine if we can use them to enhance productivity without losing originality or creativity.
Knowledge Skills And Abilities
You have a talent for sales and advertising copywriting and aren’t afraid to push the envelope; you know how to write a headline that goes viral, or an email subject that prospects can’t resist.
You are a data-driven professional who knows the basics of conversion optimization and can A/B test and iterate on your work.
You speak and write English at a native level; other languages are a plus.
You have exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; you’ll catch most of your own typos long before we do.
You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with quick turnarounds.
You learn new technology systems quickly and are proficient in using digital tools and platforms, including but not limited to Google Suite, Wordpress, Clearscope, and Sprout Social.
You’re results-oriented and have a team-first attitude.
You are proactive, a strategic thinker, and love travel as much as we do.
Education & Experience
At least 2 years of experience in a content or copywriting role
Knowledge of B2B SaaS technology or the hospitality industry is preferred
Comprehensive writing portfolio showcasing a diverse range of brand copy work, including landing pages, ad copy, email marketing campaigns, social media posts, etc. (Note: Long-form content like blog posts or e-books can be included but will not be reviewed in-depth as they are not an essential function of this role)
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in content marketing, SEO, and digital marketing
Certifications in digital marketing (e.g. CXL, Hubspot Marketing, Google AdWords, etc.) are a bonus
