The Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education is a new academic unit at the University of Florida whose mission is to promote civic education and civic discourse and to foster intellectual diversity. Its core purpose is to help students develop the knowledge, habits of thought, analytical ability, and character to be citizens and leaders in a free society. It will do so through faculty hiring, curriculum, public programming, and (in conjunction with the Florida Department of Education) teacher training. This position is responsible for developing and implementing communications services for the Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education (Hamilton Center). This position is highly independent and oversees all internal and some external contacts and communications; publication and data dissemination; social media strategy and account management; helps to arrange and schedules program functions, academic seminars, and conferences; maintains and provides content for websites.
