The Metropolitan News Company has an immediate opening in Los Angeles. You will generate content, write case summaries, select, gather, and edit news for our newspapers. Knowledge of AP style, strong communications and people skills are necessary. Law school degree required. Admission to the California bar while beneficial, is not required. Outstanding wage and benefits, including medical, dental, LTD, 401K and life insurance, vacation, and more all make up an exceptional opening. This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position. In addition to the documents above, please read the following California Court of Appeal case, Monster, LLC v. Superior Court (http://www.courts.ca.gov/opinions/archive/B278289.PDF) and submit what would be the first five paragraphs of a news story on the case. We are looking for persons who are able to report on decisions of appellate courts in news style--not in the style of a case brief, analysis, commentary, or a feature.
