Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

The typical job duties of a Job Anchor at Audacy are:

Anchor live from the studio, including breaking news and special coverage
Conceptualize, pitch, develop and produce news segments
Gather, write, record, edit and deliver news content
Interview newsmakers
Operate studio board while on air

Qualifications

More About You:

Must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience anchoring or reporting news
Must be able to thrive in a fast paced all-news environment and cover every type of story including breaking news and features
Must have excellent writing and presentation skills
Strong interview skills with experience interviewing newsmakers and public figures
Proficient in editing and packaging news, audio, and interviews
Experience with and an understanding of social media and digital news
The ability to expertly ad-lib when the situation warrants is crucial
Ability to interpret and simplify complex copy and update copy on the fly as news warrants
Ability to plan, organize and multi task in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding news judgment and ability to work under deadline pressure
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Proficient in media production and broadcast systems
Ability to work flexible and irregular hours
Willingness to experiment and innovate
Bachelor’s degree
