About the Role

Working as part of our team, and under routine direction of the Editor, you will:
Create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences.
Produce and present news bulletins, Q&A’s, interviews and packages across all platforms, including breaking stories.
Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences.
Identify and develop, in collaboration with colleagues, local content that can be shared with other content teams in Regional & Local and across the ABC on multiple platforms.
About You
Do you have good editorial instincts, with experience in crafting stories that set the next day's agenda? To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate:
Experience in delivering breaking and original content for multiple platforms.
Proficient editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise reliable judgement.
An understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience.
You will also need to possess a current and valid Driver’s Licence
