About The Role
ABC in Toowoomba is looking for a motivated, multi-skilled Rural Reporter to be based in Toowoomba. You'll love the challenge of picking up a camera and audio recorder and traversing our broad region which includes cool climate wineries, Australia’s biggest saleyards, and a wide variety of crops from cotton, grains, horticulture and livestock. This is a truly multiplatform role that will see you produce content for digital and linear platforms and extend your skills as a future-ready storyteller.

Reporting to the ABC Southern QLD Editor you will be responsible for:
Create compelling rural content across all visual and audio platforms for a diverse local and national audience.
Prepare and present stories for the Rural Report and Country Hour, as well as digital, non-linear platforms and programs.
Flex your creativity to grow audiences and engagement.
