Here at Beacon Communications, publisher of the Warwick Beacon, Cranston Herald and Johnston Sun Rise newspapers, we're looking for a new member of our editorial team.

The Cranston Herald covers Rhode Island’s second-largest city

We'll consider various experience levels, although prior work in journalism -- including at a college newspaper or other media outlet -- is a plus.

The ideal applicant will be a strong writer with photography and social media experience. Familiarity with InDesign will also stand out.

More than anything, though, the ideal fit will have a strong interest in talking to people, learning about local issues and becoming part of the fabric of the communities we serve. We're open to applicants with backgrounds and experience outside of journalism if you think you'd be a good fit.
