Digital Producer

Bloomberg is building on the success of its Finance and Business Talk Shows. The team will be launching new shows, piloting ideas, and supporting existing shows and we are looking for a producer to join our team.

You are quick on your feet, a problem-solver, you have a can-do attitude. You have an interest in financial markets and are proactive in bringing new ideas to the team. You have a sharp ear for audio recording and engineering You have experience in video production and editing, and you have strong instincts about what works well on social media. You have a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You have experience working with talent. Most importantly, you love Odd Lots.

At the immediate, we are looking to grow our Odd Lots brand and expand its distribution into more episodes and video. The team will be project-based, projects the producer will be assigned to to start include: Odd Lots podcast editing and production, Odd Lots Video Production (Social and YouTube), Podcast team Video Production assist across shows
EDITORIAL AND PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Pitch episode and guest ideas
Book guests
Create interview prep for a host
Produce in the field and in the studio
Video production and editing for podcasts
Clip video for promotion on social media
Support a host editorially during an interview
Log tape and pull archival audio
Sync and cut interviews, cut tracking
Participate in scripting sessions
Build/assemble episodes
Publish episodes to multiple platforms using our CMS
Copy edit and fact-check text to accompany episodes
Coordinate with larger newsrooms to elevate the show and its promotion
Required skills: proficient in adobe audition, comfortable with plugins and light engineering, proficient in adobe premiere
Additive skill-sets: experience in a newsroom environment or on projects with rigorous journalistic ethics, reporting experience, field, remote and in-studio production.
Bonus skills: Experience in Descript and Google Docs.
