Bloomberg News is looking for an enterprising reporter based in our Washington or New York office to cover white-collar crime and federal enforcement of rules on the most powerful financial companies and the world's richest investors and executives. You’ll play take a leading role in covering investigations by regulators including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and often dealing with the Department of Justice. The job requires the ability to develop a deep network of sources, a desire to break news and to delve into longer-term projects. A legal reporting background isn’t required, but some familiarity with investigations, financial filings and regulation is a plus. The ideal candidate will have excellent news judgment, a relentless competitive desire to be first with the story, and enjoy collaborating with other reporters in Washington, New York and around the world when global companies are the target.
