Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA) works to promote and support Indigenous culture and languages, towards the outcome of enabling the full participation of First Nations people in the social and economic life of Australia. CAAMA manages 8KIN FM, a radio station in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, multiple digital platforms and a network of Remote Indigenous Broadcasting Service (RIBS) located in remote communities in Central Australia. Since 1980 we have played a significant role in the preservation and promotion of Aboriginal culture through our broadcasting of Aboriginal music and cultural content, in both English and Aboriginal languages.

We have roles available for highly creative and self-motivated individuals who are passionate storytellers and have an interest in and commitment to the communities of Central Australia.

The positions available include:
Drive time presenter – full-time
Presenter/Producer – full-time (multiple positions)

Key Responsibilities:
Gather and verify information through interviews, observation, and research
Present programs on 8KIN FM
Develop story ideas, conduct research, and write scripts
Report, write, record, edit and produce content for multiple platforms on deadline
Identify and book guests for interviews and discussions
Contribute to story ideas and innovation in coverage
Build relationships with contacts in Alice Springs and communities within CAAMA’s broadcast footprint across the Northern Territory and South Australia, and online
Collaborate with colleagues in News and the RIBS Network as required to amplify stories
