Pitches Wanted (Fascinating/Interesting Jobs) | $200+ per article

Jack Sommers, Editor at Business Insider, is looking for pitches: Pitch Me: I'm looking for stories to run in the weeks before and after Christmas—doesn't have to be festive but that'd be a plus. I'm always very keen on as-told-to's about people with fascinating jobs that can really teach our readers about an industry or profession.
- Here's a fascinating one about what it's like to referee the World Cup: https://www.businessinsider.com/soccer-referee-var-decisions-msl-football-world-cup-qatar-2022-11
- This was fascinating about working with Elon Musk: https://www.businessinsider.com/working-for-elon-musk-spacex-workplace-culture-twitter-jim-cantrell-2022-11
- And this is well, just fascinating: https://www.businessinsider.com/bottle-girl-las-vegas-nightclub-what-job-is-like-2022-1
- So please do pitch me as-told-tos, especially if you've not pitched before—they're the best format for freelancers as it's a single interview, rather than something logistically more complicated that we might tackle in-house.
- Lastly: 'Interesting' jobs aren't founders of companies that do interesting work. I mean people whose 9-5 is fascinating—someone whose day in the life is interesting, Not someone whose stated mission is important/unusual.

Please no more pitches of CEOs and founders. They're interesting but not what I'm asking for. CONFIDENTIAL NOTE: Reports indicate that this opportunity will pay $200+ per article. It is recommended that you discuss the rate(s) with the editor prior to commencing work.
