Role Overview:
As the Journals Managing Editor, you'll oversee editorial and publishing processes, collaborating with Editorial boards, external suppliers, and CABI colleagues to elevate our journals' growth and impact.
Key Accountabilities:
Monitor and report on submission and publication metrics.
Contribute to the strategic development of journals.
Identify emerging topics to enhance journal visibility.
Streamline processes and ensure adherence to standards and policies.
Manage Editorial Boards and coordinate routine meetings.
Liaise with marketing for article promotion and journal visibility.
Represent CABI at scientific conferences.
Experience:
Prior academic publishing experience, preferably with open access journals.
Familiarity with ScholarOne or other peer-review management systems.
Strong understanding of scientific publishing processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Desirable Education & Qualifications:
Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
