Copywriter (Part-Time)

The Copywriter role reports to the Sr. Manager of Creative Services and works closely with Campaign Managers, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, and eCommerce to create copy that represents the Learning A-Z voice and follows messaging templates and brand guidelines for outbound marketing campaigns, digital content, and thought leadership.

This role is part time with an estimated hours of 20-25 per week.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilizes deep market understandings to quickly interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative copy through execution on assigned projects.

Researches and understands the needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.

Writes original copy and edits content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials.

Collaborates with a team of marketing managers and creative staff from concept development to delivery of final product.

Presents copy concepts and final deliverables to internal team, and to stakeholders in other departments as needed.

Revises copy based on internal and client feedback/direction.

Interprets creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brands.

Job Requirements:

2 or 4-year degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or Marketing; or equivalent experience

1-2 years of copywriting experience with an education company or similar

Self-starter who can manage multiple deadlines comfortably

Comfort in working in a fully remote environment

Must be familiar with the Science of Reading; experience with K-5 education or early literacy is strongly preferred
