Summary:

The Junior Content Manager (JCM) is the first tier within the Content Manager position (three tiers: Junior, Associate, Senior) and is responsible for working with one to two CAA projects at any point in time.

JCM’s responsibilities cross our entire platform: annual business report (digital and print), online content (newsletters, online articles, press releases), Invest: Insights video platform and podcast.

Key Responsibilities:

●Works on one to two CAA projects at any given time

● Schedules a minimum of 5 interviews a week by reaching out via phone with leading CEOs

● Attends meetings via Zoom each week (established goals normally include 10-15 meetings/week depending on time of the project)

● Establishes and maintains good relationships with the government, partners, and local authorities ● Conducts market research

● Researches all companies and prepare questions in advance for the informative discussions and interviews

● Recommends potential viewpoints and interviews to the head office editorial staff

● Conducts and reports on all interviews

● Obtains approval for all local published viewpoints and interviews or market-sensitive material

● Records and transmits all relevant informative discussions

● Pulls quotes from transcripts or soft edits fully published interviews

● Responsible for the collation of certain editorial material (interviews, viewpoints and photographs)

● Ensure accuracy of all materials that are published in any way (print, digital, etc)

● Ensures accuracy of all work completed in our CRM program

● Ensures accuracy of all work which is normally saved on Google Drive

● Assists in maintaining social media in market via tweeting about meetings, conferences attended or hosted and major market developments

● Writes e-blast articles as necessary sent out to the company’s online subscribers

● Provides editorial support for launch conferences (writing press releases, contacting media to attend, social media prior and during the event)

● Calls for RSVPs to any of the CAA events and obtains good results

Desired Skills and Experience:

● Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in journalism or an editorial role

● College degree required

● Well-planned and organised

● Strong copy editing and writing skills

● Command of English mandatory
