Working in tandem with the other region Directors and into the CEO, you’ll get the chance to stretch your leadership skills with the remit to build on the agency’s success. However, this isn’t the type of role where your time will be taken up with operational responsibilities. The agency model has been set up so that all Directors are practitioners as well, so you’ll be working with clients to create communications strategies and deliver results. It goes without saying that you’ll need to love and excel at new business so an agency track record is key. However, you won’t be starting from scratch: the agency has a good reputation and plenty of incoming interest. The other absolute must is global experience. You’ll need to be international in outlook and experience, with a track record of working in and with other markets.
