Copywriter

Compensation Range: $28.00 - 31.96 per hour

We are seeking a talented and motivated Copywriter with a knack for crafting engaging content for our client, a thriving media company!

In this role, you will be responsible for pitching, writing, and updating a dynamic array of commerce articles on a daily basis. These articles will cover a variety of topics including breaking news about deals, deal roundups, evergreen shopping guides, and more. The ideal candidate is passionate about e-commerce and wants to work with a diverse team of talented professionals in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

Pitch engaging and relevant commerce article ideas.
Write high-quality articles that cater to the audience's interests and needs.
Update content regularly to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and consumer behavior to inform content creation.

Qualifications:

Experience level: Experienced
At least two years of professional journalism or relevant editorial experience covering major consumer brands.
Strong expertise in e-commerce editorial content.
Comprehensive knowledge of the online shopping landscape across various categories such as kitchen, travel, consumer tech, furniture, apparel, streaming, large and small appliances, and seasonal products.
Familiarity with consumer tech buying seasons and trends.
Experience with e-commerce affiliate platforms such as Rakuten, Amazon Affiliates, and Howl.
Proven track record in reporting on daily deals and understanding consumer preferences.
Proficiency in commerce editorial writing, including monetizing links, tracking affiliate sales, optimizing content for search engines, and identifying shopping trends.
Ability to write compelling e-commerce articles from a shopper's perspective.
