What you will do:
General assignment work for the metro desk, including covering breaking and emerging news, reacting to trends in the community and identifying longer-term enterprise stories
Regular shifts may include afternoons, evenings, and potentially some weekend work

What you will bring:
A track record of executing breaking and enterprise stories on a tight deadline that demonstrate crisp writing, accuracy, commitment to fair play and the ability to tell stories about people that go beyond the statistics
Insightful reporting and a commitment to serving the public good by exposing inequities and holding the powerful into account
You are collaborative, creative, collegial, high energy and dogged in pursuit of the story
Fluency in Spanish is a plus
