We track commercial developments and R&D developments in the world's top markets and emerging geographies, providing our subscribers with up-to-the-minute news coverage and seasoned insight to help them capitalize on opportunities and avoid costly pitfalls in today's competitive and fast-moving pharma and biotech sectors.
At Scrip, part of Citeline (a Norstella company), we have an exciting opportunity for a UK-based Reporter/Journalist to join our international editorial team and become part of an industry-leading pharma, medtech and consumer health intelligence business.
Our dedicated team of writers based in countries around the world collaborate around the clock to keep our subscribers up to date, not just on what's happening in the pharma industry, but what it means for them. You'd be joining a title with a 50-year reputation for in-depth news and analysis and a wealth of journalistic experience, industry knowledge and high-level contacts.
We're looking for someone with a passion for hunting down the ‘so what?' of a story, who wants to uncover the angles that will matter to a specialized readership, and who relishes the opportunity to build in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the biotech and pharma industry.
Can you unearth the real story behind a company press release? Pick up the phone to business leaders, scientific experts and investment analysts and ask the questions that really matter? Complement your writing with compelling charts and graphs? Scour databases and speak to analyst colleagues to generate original content? Network and build contacts while turning around timely reports from a scientific or industry conference? Research and write a feature on an important area of pharmaceutical development? Duties and responsibilities
In a typical week you could:
Write one story a day on issues such as

Interview company executives to augment your articles
Develop a data-led infographic
Research/write a feature length story
Attend an international conference to report news, conduct interviews and build contacts
Work with other members of the team to plan editorial direction
