Associate Writer

CNET is a premier destination for expert, unique and timely information that helps people navigate our changing world. We’re seeking a curious, self-motivated new team member with excellent and relatable writing skills, a nose for research and a thirst for helping people understand the bigger picture.

As an Associate Writer, you’ll work within a collaborative team environment to create original work and amplify the work of your colleagues. You’ll partner with teammates across the organization and work on a kaleidoscope of projects, from the launch of the year’s biggest phones to genius tips everyone should know.

This is ideally a hybrid role, with at least two days in the office each week (Tues, Weds). Candidates may be based in New York or Charlotte, or they may be remote.

What We’re Looking For

BA or above in Journalism, Writing, English, Communications or commensurate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive, self-motivated, collaborative attitude with managers and colleagues
Ability to pivot quickly among different projects
Team player who is quick to raise a helping hand and apply feedback in the spirit of growth
Curious, with a mindset for learning

Compensation

Cash Compensation Range: $42,000 - $72,000*
*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
