We're seeking an experienced video producer and creative storyteller to produce premium video content for CNET platforms. Candidates should have a solid background shooting, editing and creating compelling content for social channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
This position will require you to conceptualize, pitch and execute your own long-form and short-form video ideas. You should understand the different social platforms and the types of content that succeeds on each.
The ideal candidate can thrive working solo, as well as in close collaboration with on-camera talent and CNET edit staff.
What You'll Do
Shoot b-roll, interviews, a-roll and more with a focus on tech products.
Edit video under tight deadlines using Adobe Premiere
Participate in pre-production meetings to conceptualize videos.
Work closely with social producers to develop social video strategies ahead of video shoots.
Participate in regular brainstorms to develop new ideas and video formats.
Work alongside and collaborate with our talented reviews editors and reporters inside and outside our studios.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of professional video production and editing experience
Solid shooting background with mirrorless cameras in a variety of backdrops and settings
Clear understanding of audio and 3-point lighting setup
Basic color correction and color grading skills
Experience shooting horizontal and vertical
Adobe Premiere and Photoshop expertise
Demo reel or portfolio of work
BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience - broadcast journalism or related field.
Compensation
Cash Compensation Range: $60,000-$90,000*
*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
