JOB SUMMARY: The Communications Manager will oversee all internal and corporate communications, including the development and implementation of a communications strategy and a broad range of business and marketing communications.
Primary Responsibilities
Embraces the mission, values, and strategic goals of The Aleut Corporation.
Assist with the development and execution of communication plans.
Create internal communications material, such as presentations, newsletters, formatted emails, memos, and announcements.
Collaborate with designers to develop visually compelling content for campaigns.
Engage with key stakeholders to understand perspectives, concerns, and feedback.
Enhance the creation, impact, and innovative nature of communications by improving processes, tools, and collaborations to more effective processes.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies.
Keep a pulse point on opportunities to amplify and share stories across various channels.
Leads internal communications across the enterprise.
Manage and execute the overall strategies, campaigns, and tactics to inform and engage internal employees.
Oversee website reporting and analytics.
Regularly assess and report on communication outcomes, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
Responsible for the development of marketing materials that are on brand and connecting with the right audience.
Supports Communications Coordinator in the production of quarterly newsletters.
Support subsidiary communications on social media channels for subsidiaries as needed.
Supports the Communications Director as needed.
Serve as the point of contact for subsidiary marketing and communications needs.
Work with external partners to manage and update TAC’s website on a weekly basis.
Work with external partners to manage and update our subsidiaries’ website monthly or as needed.
Work and collaborate with HR and Office Admin on enforcing and improving internal communication channels for employees.
Work with Communications Director and Senior Leaders to build strategies and communication frameworks for how to communicate across the enterprise.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field OR equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
Five (5) years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or similar field.
Prefered Qualifications
Experience with Government and Legislative Affairs.
Experience with Alaska Native Corporations.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
