Communications Manager, Finance and Global Business Services

We are seeking a high judgment, detail-oriented, employee-obsessed, creative, and results-driven team member for our Finance & Global Business Services (FGBS) Communications team, part of Amazon’s Worldwide Communications organization. This role will work across the FGBS Organization and Employee Engagement team and the FGBS Financial Reporting and Executive team, supporting both internal and external communications activities. The Communications Manager will support communications activities related to Amazon’s Financial and Regulatory requirements; executive communications, including speaking engagements, media interviews, and employee letters; internal events; employee speaking engagements; and high-volume news cycles. The ideal candidate is experienced in both internal and external communications, self-motivated, thrives in a global team environment, and exercises strong judgement and critical thinking. This role requires the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership, and meet tight deadlines. The candidate must be highly organized and react with appropriate professionalism and urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround. This role works closely with a range of internal stakeholders across FGBS, worldwide communications, investor relations, legal, People Experience & Technology (HR), Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Amazon affinity groups, and other departments as well as external stakeholders such as media, non-profits, vendors, and event planners. This role provides an opportunity for a communications generalist to hone their communications skills as part of a global team.
