Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)
Salary: £38,665 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Manchester, but other locations outside of London will be considered (The role will be based at the office base listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members if the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

The Arts Council is on a mission to make sure that everyone in England has access to creativity and culture, no matter their background. From encouraging artists to apply for our funding, to letting cultural organisations know the support available to improve how they work and showing the public how their money helps achieve that mission, the Marketing team has an important role to play.
As our Communication Manager (Marketing), you can expect to:
Develop and manage the Arts Council’s digital and marketing communications strategy
Share your expertise to help create innovative ways to connect with a wide range of audiences
Lead a team of Marketing Officers to deliver communication campaigns and manage our marketing channels
Provide advice on communicating accessibly, putting our audiences first, and content and channel best practice
Act as the Art’s Council’s brand guardian, ensuring content produced across the organisation meets our editorial standards
Develop strong relationships with senior staff across the Arts Council so that you can identify communications opportunities and risks
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a natural leader who builds strong relationships so that you can positively influence and drive work. You’ll be extremely good at managing your time and juggling competing demands. And you’ll be naturally curious and self-motivating, identifying improvements to be made and conversations to be a part of.
