Job Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, this position works closely with the REACH Program Coordinator and program personnel with the development and implementation of communication campaigns and marketing plan for the REACH grant. . Responsible for creating and supporting multi-media communication strategies for Components A (nutrition, physical activity, family healthy weight program) and B (adult immunizations) of the REACH grant. Coordinates external communications efforts (such as publications, articles, factsheets, manuals, talking points, and other collateral materials) to convey a positive identity for the program and to build public awareness and support of program activities. Produces and assists with internal communications to build employee awareness and document program successes. Develops monthly and annual program reports to share with stakeholders. Other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, health marketing, international health or a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of communications or related experience

OR

Four years of communications or related experience

OR

One year of experience required at the lower level Communications Spec 1 (GSP040) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in communications, public health, health marketing, international health, or a related field. Bi-Lingual Proficient skills (Spanish) preferred. Experience and commitment to working with diverse communities. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet applications.
