Condé Nast is seeking a Editorial Content Manager for Condé Nast Traveller (CNT) Germany.
The role will be responsible for developing content strategies for Germany to drive editorial excellence, audience growth and revenue in the local market as well as contributing and executing ideas for global editorial projects and revenue-forward partnerships.
This role is based in munich and reports to the Vice President, Global Content Business Operations
Accountabilities/ Responsibilities
Provide vision and leadership to the editorial staff, ensuring the brand voice, tone, visuals, and messaging is on point
Work closely with CNT global leadership to align and execute global strategy in Germany
Contribute story, talent, and strategic ideas to all global editorial projects, including content shared across print editions and the digital network
Set and oversee CNT Germany's digital editorial direction and strategy across site, social and video (aligned with overall global priorities) to grow audience and drive digital revenue
Oversee the CNT Germany print edition, commissioning local content, adapting global content and customising the line-up. Oversee content production on all channels and platforms while maintaining the highest quality journalism
Work closely with Director of Operations and/or Digital Director to implement digital and social best practices
Work closely with Editorial Operations team to plan and manage editorial content budgets for print, and editorial content efficiencies for digital, video, and social
Cultivate storytelling and internal talent to drive growth and engagement across all platforms
Work in partnership with the Condé Nast leadership team to produce a product that meets all the Condé Nast standards and expectations
Collaborate with the commercial teams to maintain existing business relationships, establish and cultivate new clients, and produce branded content projects
Collaborate with the consumer teams as an editorial partner in support of revenue (subscriptions, memberships, e-commerce, experiential, and more) and retention efforts
Act as in-market brand ambassador, hosting events and liaising with clients as required
Work closely with local HR, Finance, Director of Operations and Global Editorial Director to bring on new hires
Manage local editorial team including goal setting, resolving HR issues, and focusing on building team morale
Skills & Qualification :
A minimum of 10 years of experience leading teams in digital, video, and print media - ideally in a global company
A love of storytelling and passion for travel
Passion for CNT’s cultural point of view and commitment to setting local editorial vision in line with global editorial direction
Extremely strong editorial skills and experience assigning and editing multi-platform content and working to strict deadlines
Proven leader with ability to empower, mentor and inspire a nimble editorial team
Creative and innovative thinker who will bring inventive new ideas to editorial development
Robust network of contacts within the travel and luxury industries as well as relationships with celebrities, chefs, artists and other tastemakers
A deep-understanding of travel through the lens of culture
High energy, curiosity and passion, with wide interests from fashion to art to film to sports
English and German language proficiency
