Senior Features Editor

Condé Nast is seeking a Senior Features Editor for Condé Nast Traveller (CNT) Germany.

The role will be responsible for planning, commissioning and editing features to drive editorial excellence and audience growth. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable on print and digital platforms and able to think from both local and global perspectives. Strong editing and writing skills, and a good knowledge and network of the travel industry are essential, as is the ability to work with editors, writers and correspondents across the world. This role reports to the Head of Editorial content in Germany.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, commission and edit features across print and digital, including well stories and front of book pieces

Build digital content collaboratively for the German and other markets and ideate across social, video and other platforms when planning stories

Support the HEC in overseeing CNT Germany, commissioning local content, adapting global content and customising the line-up

Act as an in-market brand ambassador, hosting events and liaising with clients as required

Ideate and execute commercial partnerships as needed

Essential Skills & Requirements

Extremely strong editorial skills and experience assigning and editing multi-platform content and working to strict deadlines

A global address book of on-brand writers and stringers

A love of storytelling and a passion for travel

An extensive knowledge of the travel industry

Exceptional organisation and time management skills and ability to think and work quickly

Good communication skills and an openness to working collaboratively

Passion for CNT’s cultural point of view and commitment to supporting HEC’s local editorial vision, in line with Global Editorial Director’s vision

Creative and innovative thinker who will bring inventive new ideas to editorial development

Robust network of contacts within the travel and luxury industries as well as relationships with celebrities, chefs, artists and other tastemakers

A deep-understanding of travel through the lens of culture

High energy, curiosity and passion, with wide interests from fashion to art to film to sports

English and German language proficiency
