Congress Reporter

Courthouse News Service, a California-based news service, is seeking a reporter to cover the U.S. Congress and politics in Washington, D.C. A legal background is not required, but demonstrated interest and ability in writing or journalism is necessary. The job will entail pitching and writing stories on Congressional hearings and legislation, as well as pitching and writing stories on other federal agencies and the executive branch of the federal government. Competitive pay is offered for about 40 hours per week, and benefits are available.
