The opportunity
As the Content Editor, you will report to the Assistant Director of Learning Design Services. You will work with project teams to support the development and continuous improvement of high-quality online learning experiences. You'll edit content for grammar, style, usability, and will use your editorial expertise to evaluate student-facing content for quality. You will work with vendor or contracted editor partners to ensure that edited learner-facing content meets quality standards.

What You'll Do
We value collaboration with our partners and hope you will too. We collaborate with instructional designers, learning architects, and other cross-departmental partners on project teams to ensure quality standards are met in all learner-facing content during development
Review the content for revised online courses and collaborate with project owners
Edit content for accuracy and clarity, addressing issues with functionality (including usability and accessibility), mechanics (grammar, usage, and style), and consistency to support diverse learner populations
Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews of editor partners' work to ensure SNHU editorial standards are met in new product developments
Provide feedback to editor partners assigned to project teams to ensure the delivery of edited content
Help maintain internal documentation such as templates and standard-language guides
We support project priorities and shifting deadlines
You will help improve editorial processes that ensure quality of our products.
You will serve as a representative for the editing team on projects or work groups by providing targeted feedback to editor partners on their performance.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of professional editing experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word
Familiarity with American Psychological Association (APA) style and Chicago Manual of Style
Experience with learning management systems
Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint
Experience coordinating projects and maintaining collaborative relationships
