Hey, I’m Jake. Founder and CEO at Thursday Labs. Before diving into the typical overview of what we are all about, I’ll come right out and say that we’re searching far and wide for the best damn content writers and producers in the world. If you’re awesome, we want you on our team.
Who We Are:

"Yup, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.”
(or in case you missed the reference, go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8wxsUv_2vg)
I started a marketing agency for startups a decade ago, and then built a few startups, which led me into the venture capital world for about 6 years.
One thing we believe about the VC world is that so, so, SO many venture-backed founders have incredible, inspiring stories to share. And they’re setting out to solve massive problems in the world. But, they struggle to share their story. So nobody knows about them.
So we started helping founders produce huge volumes of content and share their stories through a weekly podcast, blog, newsletter, and daily short-form video clips on every social media channel. The goal was to put them everywhere, every day.
And it started working; their businesses were growing 300-500% in 3 months, which means they are substantially closer to solving the problems they set out to conquer.
More and more founders started reaching out saying, “I need content. I need to be a thought leader. But it’s daunting and I don’t know where to start.”
So Thursday Labs was born in March, 2023. Now, with over 8 clients signed on in the last 60 days, we’re projected to grow to over 100 by the end of 2024, which is where you come in.
A few of the companies we’re working with today are POSH, Nifty Bridge, Multimodal, DASH, Digital Wealth Insider, The Gallery, and Zoë Foundry.
Why We Do It:
We turn everyday startup founders into thought leaders with die-hard, passionate, and loyal followings. Our content helps them inspire, educate, and entertain their customers so they become obsessed with their brand.
The world needs their stories and their help, and we allow them to go from unknown to unforgettable.
But, we’re not your typical agency. In fact, we’re the anti-agency. Our model only works if our clients win. We set ourselves apart by categorizing Thursday Labs as the first production studio for founders.
How We Do It:
We ask our clients to show up for only one hour per week to host a podcast. We take care of everything else:
Developing the strategy and creative direction for their entire content series and funnel
Inviting, prepping, and booking their podcast guests
Producing and publishing their weekly, long-form video and audio podcasts
Writing their weekly blog and newsletter
Editing and publishing daily short-form clips across over a dozen channels
Reporting weekly on our data, learnings, and projected ROI.
We’re on a mission to perfect and design a world-class, multi-step formula to produce high quality content in record time. And we’d love for you to help us build it.
A Bit About You:
If you’re thinking “okay, I got this. I would love to crank out dozens of blogs, newsletters and social posts every week across a huge variety of industries”… keep reading:
You take pride in your work and inject your soul and heart into everything that you touch.
You move fast and you’re not afraid to make mistakes along the way. While your content is very high quality and has a powerful voice, you strive for volume, too.
You’re obsessed with researching, testing, and implementing new AI and PM tools to constantly improve the team’s efficiency.
You don’t mind context switching and handling over a dozen different clients and accounts on a daily basis.
You take accountability when you make mistakes.
You’re weirdly organized and are militant about not letting the seemingly small things slip through the cracks.
Some Nice To Haves:
You absolutely love the world of tech, startups, and VC, and you have an insatiable curiosity to dive into many industries.
You have a great deal of startup experience and are invigorated by the speed at which we operate. You view it as an adventure.
You’re a brilliant storyteller.
You’re comfortable in Adobe Premiere, Webflow, Figma, Canva, etc.
You enjoy working across many time zones and embrace a remote-first and global culture.
The Impact You’ll Make:
Your work will be visible across hundreds of accounts for well-known clients every day. You’ll help produce podcast episodes, short-form clips, blog posts, newsletters, social media posts, and more.
You’ll craft and share inspiring stories of the rockstar-entrepreneurs that are taking on the world’s trickiest problems and backed by the biggest investors.
Given the early nature of our company, AND the tools that we’re embedding into our tech stack, your DNA will be embedded all over Thursday Labs. We’ll be thrilled when you bring suggestions, ideas, and actionable plans to the table to help improve the team’s workflow and your experience.
