Copywriter/Brand Strategist (Freelance)

TWIST is seeking a Copywriter/Brand Strategist (Freelance) to assist in the development and execution of advertising campaigns to support our growing client roster. This individual will be employed as a part-time independent contractor with hours determined on an as-needed basis. Location is primarily remote with the option to occasionally work in our Cleveland office.

The Copywriter/Brand Strategist will be a strategic thinker and creative writer with a proven track record in developing strategies and creating high-quality content, key message platforms, engaging social content, and campaign themes. The main responsibility is creative copy creation across a range of deliverables such as digital ads, annual reports, social content, newsletters, landing pages, etc.

Job Type: Copywriter/Brand Strategist (Freelance/Independent Contractor)

Work Location: Remote (with opportunities to work in TWIST office)

Pay: $50 – $75 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Flexible, but should be available and responsive during TWIST’s normal office hours (8:30A-5:00P EST, Mon-Fri)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Combination of Education/Work Experience

Responsibilities:
– Develop strategic concepts, key message platforms, and campaign themes
– Develop advertising concepts, headlines, taglines, and body copy across channels
– Develop copy themes and key messages into scripts for broadcast, digital and traditional placements
– Develop name concepts and taglines
-Develop detailed technical writing
– Follow creative direction and suggest appropriate solutions based on project goals

Skills:
– Copywriting / Strategy Experience (2-4 years, preferably in agency setting)
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely express and explain ideas
– Ability to adjust content voice/tone to connect with the target audience
– Microsoft Office
– Dropbox / Google Drive
