HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO
Our Kinship creative team is looking for a perma-lance copywriter to regularly help craft communications across our brands. You will report directly to the Lead Copywriter.
Here’s what you’d do:
Write high-impact copy for a range of digital experience
Apply established brand voice, messaging, and style to everything you write
Collaborate with the Kinship creative team to deliver engaging, on-brand creative
Work closely with our lead copywriter to deliver compelling, on-brand copy
Work with our project managers to hit deadlines
Apply feedback from our copywriters and brand teams
Proofread copy for clarity, grammar, and spelling
The skills you need:
4+ years' years of experience in copywriting
Experience writing on brand voice and message (experience creating them is a plus!)
Experience or training (via a University degree or similar) writing for digital (mobile, web), email, social, video, online editorial, print, physical merch/swag, or some combination.
An ability to juggle multiple brands, channeling their voices across various channel
An ability to humanize technical and scientific content to make it feel instantly gettable
A knack for writing in a real and relevant tone (no "fur babies" please)
An excitement to create new, amazing brands or radically improve existing ones.
A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to action feedback quickly.
Proofreading and editing skills
Some nice to haves:
A love of pets...or at least don't hate pets...that would be weird for us
Experience building brands (e.g. verbal identity, voice, messaging, naming, strategy)
Experience working in pet care, editorial, health, or tech spaces
Ability to work from our New York office on occasion
When you’d work:
Dedicated 20 hours/week
Opt 1: M-F, 10am-2pm ET
Opt 1: T-Th, 10am-5:30pm ET w/ an hour for lunch
COMPENSATION:
The hourly rate for this role is between $60 - $70.
