Summary: The Copywriter will be responsible for writing and editing content for a variety of projects (including print, mobile, video, web, and social media content), working closely with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
Interpret creative direction and technical information to understand project requirements, develop concepts, and create persuasive copy for the assigned project.
Writes clear, concise, original, and engaging copy for a variety of marketing projects, including print, mobile, video scripts, website, and social media content.
Responsible for creating the best possible written content that reflects the company’s voice, appeals to our target audiences, promotes nuCamp’s products, and boosts brand awareness.
Create compelling, engaging, and attention-grabbing ad copy, landing pages, collateral materials, press releases, blogs, newsletters, and marketing campaigns.
Proofreads and edits copy, as needed, for a range of marketing and communications materials, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency in brand standards, style, tone, images, etc.
Submits first drafts to the Marketing Manager within the agreed-upon deadlines, revising copy according to feedback received and resubmitting for additional input and final approval.
Works in collaboration with the marketing team and creative staff on marketing projects, from concept development to delivery of final product.
Conducts research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types.
Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics and interesting content to engage our target audience.
Understands and uses SEO principles to maximize the reach of our marketing message and increase web traffic.
Drives brand consistency across all company communications.
Stay current on industry trends and competitors.
May be asked to represent the company and assist with the setup and facilitation of customer-related events, tradeshows, or rallies.
Maintains clean and organized work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
· Two or more years of professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work.
· Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential.
Strong proofreading and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of and experience using graphic design software is a plus.
Knowledge of online content strategy and creation and experience with SEO.
Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to think conceptually.
· Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize work to meet key deadlines and deliverables.
· Able to work under pressure and manage stress in a constructive way.
· Team-oriented and professional.
· Ability to effectively present information and concepts to team members and managers as needed.
