Freelance Reporter/Writer

New Posted 8 January 2025 | Remote | Corporate Compliance Insights

Corporate Compliance Insights, a weekly online news magazine, is seeking freelance reporters and writers who can inform and engage readers in a highly specific business niche: corporate compliance, risk management, governance and information security.

Deep subject matter expertise and/or previous reporting experience in our niche is preferred, but a successful candidate may pair general familiarity in compliance and risk with genuine curiosity, willingness to learn quickly and a strong editorial voice.

Candidates should have a grounding in business writing, politics, AP style and media ethics and the flexibility to do enterprise reporting, trend analysis and investigative features. Topics may be assigned based on CCI’s editorial mission and vision, but we also want writers to pitch their own stories based on the corporate integrity topics that matter to them.

Initial freelance engagements typically involve one story per month, with opportunities for increased frequency based on performance and mutual fit. Starting in 2025, we will also publish a quarterly print magazine, which may provide additional opportunities for our freelance contributors. We offer competitive freelance rates and will consider either flat-rate or per-word structures.
