Anime Writer

Dexerto are looking for an Anime Writer to deliver news, features, reviews and recaps on the biggest anime shows and movies. This is a remote position for an experienced writer who has produced anime content for an English-language website.

The right candidate will know everything there is to know about the biggest anime shows, such as My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Jujitsu Kaisen, Dragon Ball, and One Piece. A broader knowledge of TV and movies is also desirable.

You will stay on top of the latest news and trends in order to produce daily content for the site, and you will also be able to plan and write features, interviews, reviews and recaps. You will also be expected to sub copy,

Experience of news and feature writing is essential, SEO knowledge is desirable, whilst having some contacts within the industry will be advantageous

Requirements:

Understanding and knowledge of anime
Professional writing experience
Great news and feature writing skills
SEO knowledge desirable
Good organisation and time management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail – able to spot grammatical errors and formatting mistakes
Great communication skills – able to take instruction and keep various members of the team updated on progress
Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop or similar programs
Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
Experience with Google Sheets and content management systems, and photo editing skills
