Script Writer - Gaming & Esports

Dexerto is looking for a Gaming & Esports script writer to lead a digital content campaign for a large gaming hardware and software brand. This is initially a 6 month role with the opportunity to become full time.

Can you write concise, topical scripts for today’s short form audience? If you answered yes, this might be the job for you!

Dexerto is at the cutting edge of the gaming, streaming, and influencer industry, covering the biggest trending news stories for a leading gaming and hardware brand.

Experience in script writing for video content, both Presented & Voice Over is essential., it’s important that you can demonstrate your passion for the fast-paced world of entertainment, be it streaming and influencer culture, the latest video games, or even the stars of TV & Movies.

Requirements

3+ years of writing experience with links to scripts
Understanding and knowledge of gaming and entertainment, including streamer and influencer culture
Proficiency in scripting compelling narratives which complements both presented and voice over videos Fluent in English
Able to write under under pressure and hit deadlines
Can communicate and collaborate with producers + talent to align creatively
Have a keen attention to detail – can spot grammatical errors and fact check
Creative ability – able to think of feature ideas and suggest news stories that will resonate with our audience
Able to act independently on writing tasks
Is confident with social media
SEO knowledge desirable
A fan of esports, console games, including shooters, fighters and sports games is desirable
