Journalist

Diamond is looking for a passionate Journalist to join our creator team. The journalist will be responsible for writing content for the news sector of our company. Some responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to creating content for our websites and social media platforms to make an impact on the company and within the industry. Patience, willingness to learn, research, and develop the necessary methods in order to support the content creation process are some of the key aspects of this role. You will work in close collaboration with designers, the director, and other content creator members.

Responsibilities

Write, develop, edit and publish original content that inspires and influences audiences. This includes creating headlines, body; conduct keyword searches, and being able to research industry-related topics to produce articles and posts.
Research trends in the industry, write news pieces and present the news in an honest and balanced manner.
Investigating and reporting on current events, work on articles and features that update and influence public opinion.
Contribute to campaign and/or brand initiatives, including proposing taglines for launches, merchandise descriptions, and social media platform updates.

Skills

Be highly organized and able to manage your time to meet deadlines
Editorial writing experience is a plus
Degree in English, journalism or other relevant area of study preferred
Copywriting experience is a plus
Provide, receive feedback and collaborate with other writers or members in the development of content strategies
Interest knowledge of many movies, shows, actors, and the industry is a plus
Strong writing and reporting skills, and sharp attention to detail
Possess effective communication skills
Have the ability to contribute to the development of strategies that will increase reader engagement, identify customers’ needs in our content and recommend new topics
