Policy Engagement Writer

Client is currently seeking a qualified contractor with policy writing expertise, additional expertise in gender specific/trauma informed policies and practices to move our agency forward in the equitable treatment of marginalized populations.

They should be credentialed subject matter experts who can provide some examples of similar work performed in their work history.

Job Description:

DOC anticipates a multi-tiered engagement:

Phase One will entail the contractor performing a detailed analysis to identify which new policies will need to be uniquely designed for the client's Women's Division, and what existing policies may need tailored specifically to meet client incarcerated women's needs.
Phase two will involve utilizing the findings of phase one and any relevant social science or academic studies to draft new client policies, or amend existing policies, to assure the client is operating in a manner that is fully gender responsive and trauma informed.
